I understand the importance of a home inspection and would be honored to serve you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Initial contact- we
will discuss your needs and mutually decide what services you need such as a home inspection with a radon test or water purity
test for example. Then I will ask for a description of the property for example how many rooms are there or if there are any
outbuildings or detached garages with electrical service that will be included in the inspections.
I will quote you a competitive price for my services.
You will be given a definition of
a home inspection. The scope of the inspection and the “standards of practice” used.
I will gather specific information about the property
(rooms, components, age, contact information, etc.) from you or the realtor or MLS information. With this information, I will
develop an accurate and custom TEMPLATE of the home on my hand held computer which promotes a thorough and customized report.
We will schedule an inspection date
that is convenient for you.
I
will arrive at the home on time in a professional manner. After introductions, I will give you your report presentation binder,
which includes:
Notes and
layout section which includes a complimentary tape measure
My code of ethics
Standards
of practice booklet
Environmental
information booklet from the EPA
Inspection report section
Report summary section
Glossary of terms that may be used in the report for your clarity and understanding
HOME MANUAL – your resource to:
Understand the basic construction
of the home
Identify
steps you can take to prevent problems
Develop a schedule for routine maintenance
Identify equipment that can safeguard you and your home
We will review the inspection agreement and both
sign. You will keep a copy in your report presentation binder.
We will review your specific concerns, if any.
We start the inspection by examining the property in a logical and orderly method together. I believe in a “one-on-one”
approach with my clients.
THE
AVERAGE INSPECTION TAKES 2 ½ -3 HOURS.
I will craft the report during the course of the inspection.
After we have completed the inspection of the property, I will print the computer-generated
report and add it to your report presentation binder. We will then review the entire report which includes the report body
and itemized summary of important issues or recommendations.
Inspection
Overview
A home cannot fail
an inspection. A professional home inspection gives you an independent, unbiased view of any problems and their solutions,
so that you will have all the facts you need to make a sound, informed decision.
We take our inspection reports seriously. Every inspection is a complete and
thorough analysis of all the major systems and components in the home. The report includes a clear description of what we've
found with any problem areas noted, so you can easily identify them. Our inspectors also provide a free telephone consultation
after your inspection.
